Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. She's the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to converse in two languages led to her obtaining an employment in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In her position she was able to work with national producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, she was hired by the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009 she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on more responsibilities. She did pieces on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in similar roles as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. She's older than her sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, where she had been offered the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was the senior of her high school however, she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. She discovered that she liked the campus as well as the fact that it offered the major she wanted. After completing the requirements for high school, she attended the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
